SantaMatt (“I”, “me”) is a holiday lighting installation service run by Matt in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website, how I use it and the choices you have. I handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What I collect

• Quote requests: when you fill in the form, I receive your name, phone number, email, city, the services you’re interested in and any notes you add.
• Messages: if you contact me by WhatsApp or email, I receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to send.
• Visit details: if you book a visit, I may note your address and details about your home needed to prepare a quote.

I don’t ask for payment details on this website.

How I use it

• To reply to your request, schedule a free visit and prepare your quote.
• To install, maintain and (if requested) take down your lights.
• To contact you about your booking or service.

I don’t sell your information and I don’t send marketing messages without your permission.

Services that help me run this website

• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) delivers quote-form submissions to my email inbox.
• Gmail (Google) is where I receive and store emails.
• WhatsApp (Meta) is used if you choose to message me there.
• Google Fonts provides the fonts on this website; your browser connects to Google to load them.
• Google Ads and Google Analytics may be used to measure how visitors find this website and whether they send a request. These tools can use cookies. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

How long I keep it

I keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service and for my business records — generally no longer than two years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to being contacted. Just email me and I’ll respond within 30 days.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, such as using secure, password-protected accounts. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, though.

Children

This website is meant for adults arranging services for their homes. I don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If I update this policy, I’ll change the date at the top of this page.
